You don't need to buy a split charger,just a couple of relays,fuses & wire.
Ignore the mains part of this diagram & you should be sorted.

Sound advice on batteries on this website

I would definitely recommend a twin terminal one.You can then attach other bits to it.This is my inverter clipped on.

Good link, It's given me some ideas of which way I'll be going when I finally get some time to sort out my van.

Some of the things I was powering in my VW (sorry swear word but it's now sold) with the inverter used to eat standard leisure batterys for fun. Traction Mmmmm

ah no i hadnt looked soz just one thing though......my wife>
i have a zig c.f 8 control unit thing and the diagram says i have two batteries? i only have one so how/where would i fit another into the circit, and what do i need to buy?
me>
last night my wife went through all the paper work and convinced her self that we must of had a spare battery SOMEWHERE in the van lol anyway one thing she did say was that this zig unit had a relay so does this mean we wire the new liesure battery up to the zig or do it as your diagram shows.

soz for sounding silly but you know how it is summers on its way and ALL the silly questions are going to start popping up
