CF250 1980 pop top seal mesurements

Hi all,

I was wondering if someone would be extremely helpful and measure the total depth of the rubber seal that goes around your pop top. Its the total over all size that I need please!! im having a real mare. I have found a fewon the web and got samples all measuring total depth including grip and blub bit of rubber 30mm.

The thing is, it just doesn't seem thick enough at the front, still a 1/2 cm gap. It could be that the back sits down lower than the front so with the seal in place it would level out but I'm not sure on this.

The reason I ask all these questions is, I drove down the road (1 mile) with the pop top still up (I know what an idiot) I lost the rubber seal so can't make a match and my hubby is certain it closed flatter at the front than it does now. Hard to tell as only owing Ben for three weeks, neither of us are sure but worried about what I may have been damaged. I have checked the roof all over (screws and hinges etc) and im thinking I may have got lucky as all seems fine except rubber seal and not closing as low as my hubby thinks it should.

Please someone help, advise would be good. And please no one say I should be banned from driving I feel terrible about it.

Thanks Michelle
