Restoration help

My van has failed its MOT and needs SERIOUS work doing to it. Does anyone know a restorer where I can take my Bedford to?

What needs doing? If it is welding then a backstreet mechanic or even mobile welder will be cheaper than going to a classic vehicle specialist. If it is mechanical issues then trying to find an oldskool garage with someone who is used to older stuff is key. I can recommend someone down here (Oxfordshire)but they are not cheap and usually take on MGs etc.

Is it worth having a crack yourself? You will find loads of good advice on here.

Here is the list Gethin
1)rear reg lamp not working
2)nearside and offside headlamps too high
3)offside steering rack gaiter split
4)offside rear brake excessively corroded
5)nearside and offside front (arches) body has a sharp edge caused by corrosion 6)nearside front (inner wing) suspension component mounting prescribed area is excessively corroded
7)offside front (inner wing) suspension component mounting prescribed area is deliberately modified which significantly reduces the original strength
8)exhaust has major leak of gases
9)exhaust system not adequately supported
10)offside and nearside rear has sharp edge caused by damage
11) exhaust emissions carbon monoxide content excessive

Some things are minor but I am concerned about numbers 6 and 7. Also the caravan part could do with the windows resealing, the step needs repairing and the top door hinge has come off.It won't screw back in
