Now, to me a spigot is a peg or similar which locates a part in a certain position. Such as a peg to locate a flywheel on the crankshaft or the clutch cover on the flywheel. Maybe even a tool to line up the clutch driven plate when fitting a new clutch.
Can't quite visualise that in relation "Rear wheel movement".
Did the tester indicate what sort of rear wheel movement was giving the problem?
Cheers.

Pete.

Another thought . . . . .
If he meant rear AXLE movement rather than rear WHEEL movement, it could be that the axle "U" bolts are slack, allowing the rear axle to move in relation to the road spring. The spring usually has a spigot which is supposed to locate in a hole in the rear axle shoe.

If there is movement at this point I would be inclined to take off or greatly slacken the "U" bolts and check the state of them and the locating "Spigot".

Cheers,

Pete.

Inner and outer wheels are held on by the same studs and nuts. If the outer one has play, then the inner one should also have play.
This would also mean loose wheel nuts.
I would check them first.
