mpg I need your advice. in January my van is booked in to have an lpg conversion. but before I do this could someone tell me if I put a 5 speed gearbox in with overdrive on 5th gear what sort of mpg could I expect to get on a run. on my last trip of 635 miles I was getting 20.25mpg. the gas conversion is costing £1250 so before I spend out I need to know. the gearbox would cost £550 plus fitting | Wed 05 Nov 2014 @ 23:40 |

first of all you cant have overdrive on a 5 speed gearbox . as for LPG system there's loads of them on ebay for a hell of a less than what you have been quoted. Its simple enough to fit it your self and then you only need to pay for a safety certification | Thu 06 Nov 2014 @ 21:22 |

mpg then why would someone advertise it as such if it wasn't true but back to the question would it be better to fit the gearbox or lpg. the other chap mentioned the valves. when AB was told I was going to use lpg he had hardened valves and seats fitted | Thu 06 Nov 2014 @ 22:54 |
