Batteries low.

Hi to all,

This morning I found there was not enough in the battery to get my old Bedford to start so it was a handle start, looks likely to be the way to start the engine through the winter months when it is cold wet and frosty.
I should add it to my fitness program!

Low batteries.

Hi Mike,

Yes I do but the frost seems to pull the voltage down, but the wind down on the starter this morning did serve a purpose that being as long as I have ign. lights on the dashboard I can still start the engine and drive off.
I don't think it is the greatest battery because it is getting on a bit in age a bit like myself.

Starting.

Hi to all,

The old Bedford started first time this morning, frost has gone weather mild so the old tub is happy to start, still like the handle as a good standby!
