Gearbox testing.

Hi to all,

Built myself a gearbox testing rig which is mounted across my work bench and allows me test run a gearbox without having to have it fitted to an engine, so that I can check out the bearings and check the gear shift sincro's while the box is still on the work bench.
It does take up a bit of bench space but it will take away any chance of an unnoticed fault being discovered after a gearbox is fitted to a vehicle.

Busy workshop.

Hi to all,

One gearbox finished and tested on the new rig and already sold to a Bedford guy with a land-cruiser here in Perth, should be fitted on Monday, so all is working well.
The rest of the day was used up fitted upper wishbone bushes and a top ball joint on my own old Bedford, should stop that squeaking noise I have been hearing lately.
So that new press has been a good purchase its earning its keep!
