Links opening in new window/tab I've noticed that links using this format open in a new windowhttp:// whilst this format opens in the same one. LinkI've tried different variations of "target=blank" but nothing seems to work. Looking at the page source it seems to be a "back end" fix that's needed. Can that be done?:D Edit; Forgot to say,I know it can be done with right click but not on left. Oh,while I'm here!Any chance of an increase on sig characters? ---------------------- | Sun 31 Jan 2010 @ 18:18 |

From what I understand, 'target=blank' is being written out of webpages as most browsers use tabs, and there is an associated etiquette regarding forcing the opening of links in a new window. Having worked on the Execalibre Dragon Boat Club website, I am unaware of any code which opens links in a new tab. If you use Firefox, clicking the mouse wheel on a link will open it in a new tab and will overwrite the 'target=blank' code. Hope this helps! ---------------------- | Sun 31 Jan 2010 @ 18:53 |

Yup, you're right. There's currently no way of forcing a browser to open in a new tab and the target_blank is being phased out. Stupid if you ask me as there's no replacement for it. I've increased the sig length by 50 ---------------------- | Sun 31 Jan 2010 @ 20:05 |
